Customer Data and Insights Analyst

Department: Accounting/Finance

To meet these ambitious goals, we develop international partnerships and fundraising programs to raise the critical funds hospitals need to provide state-of-the-art medical care for kids. The Customer Data and Insights Analyst is an integral member of the Financial Planning and Analysis Team. The Data Analysts supports the data, reporting and analytics functions in support of the overall organization.† The Data Analyst conducts data analysis, manages projects, creates reports and dashboards, and works cross functionally.† Evaluates fundraising performance, identifies opportunities and trends specific to the organizationís current programs and customer segments. Data Analysts use statistical methods, work in cross functional teams, document processes and create project plans. The Data Analyst will service as a liaison and resource to internal teams as they work to efficiently support and steward key internal and external stakeholders throughout the network.

The Essential Work You Will Do

Strategic Focus

  • Carries out the strategy for collecting, reconciling, uploading, and disbursing hospital funds as well as reporting fundraising results to hospitals and other partners.
  • Creates trust with internal organizational departments and external parties in the disbursement process and the accuracy of such process.
  • Proactively seeks feedback from internal and external parties on the effectiveness of reporting and designs any necessary changes.

Data Collection & Reconciliation

  • Collaborates closely with the Donor Payment Processing team, as well as the Community Operations Teams to ensure data is properly collected through the funds and data collection systems & tools.†
  • Analyze data submitted by hospitals through the EZPMR process to ensure accuracy and to identify duplication, or funds which may not have been recorded.
  • Work in collaboration with the Community Operations Teams to communicate and resolve any discrepancies which may have been identified.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepares, analyzes, evaluates and interprets data concerning the performance of key areas of the organization.
  • Utilizes collected data in order to provide relevant comparisons and insights, summarizes data setting current and long-term trends and interpreting information into relevant insights.
  • Develops programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data.
  • Present data through reports, dashboards, and other means to best meet the customerís needs.
  • Ensure assigned and ongoing reports are delivered on a consistent and timely basis.

Donation Disbursement

  • Manages the collection and accurate disbursement of fundraising dollars to hospitals and partners.
  • Uploads funds once reconciled into the database in preparation for disbursement to hospitals and partners.
  • Works with teams to ensure disbursement instructions are received timely and accurate and translates that information to the disbursement process.
  • Provides excellent support for disbursement related questions from hospitals and partners.
  • Provides orientation and support for internal teams regarding the process for submitting disbursement information and accessing and interpreting reports.

∑ You have an intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel.

∑ You have an intermediate knowledge of Excel Macros, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI.

∑ You have reporting, reconciliation, and financial data analysis skills.

∑ You have high work ethic and high morals.

† You have a bachelorís degree in a related field and/or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training
