Research Strategist

Department: Business Intelligence

At Childrenís Miracle Network Hospitals, we raise funds and awareness for local childrenís hospitals across North America. We believe that by changing kidsí health we can change the future. To meet these ambitious goals, we develop international partnerships and fundraising programs to raise the critical funds hospitals need to provide state-of-the-art medical care for kids. As a member of our team, youíll play a significant role in helping 10 million sick and injured kids every year.

The Research Strategist is an integral member of the CMN Hospitals Strategy and Insights Team. The Research Strategist will help create and facilitate research efforts, both internally and externally, to help inform and build CMN Hospitalsí business strategies. The Research Strategist will conduct external market place and industry research to help better understand customers and programs and identify trends and opportunities that will enhance the organizations business and work. The Research Strategist will assist in the facilitation of the strategic planning process and work across the organization to identify and execute opportunities to use research as a tool to help CMN Hospitals understand its business direction and fulfill its mission.

Essential Work You Will Do

  • In collaboration with leadership, create research standards and processes and customer feedback efforts

  • Source, read and interpret information from a variety of external sources, such as industry publications and sources, research reports, white papers and survey data

  • Conduct internal and external qualitative and quantitative research

  • Facilitate research data collection and analysis

  • Create research reports such as white papers

  • Present, translate, train and report research results to a wide variety of audiences

  • Facilitate surveys and focus groups to inform business needs such as strategic planning and ongoing performance management

  • Ensure stakeholders have access and understanding of research information and data

Work Environment/Travel

  • Time will be spent in an office setting

  • Work hours will vary depending on partner schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the organization

  • A willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of general business and management principles. involved in planning, leadership, fundraising, customer service and coordination of people and resources to meet customer needs.

  • Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling the unique fundraising services of CMN Hospitals.

  • 5 + years of relevant experience and/or in combination with a bachelorís degree is preferred
