Cause Partnerships Manager – Southeast Area

At Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, we raise funds and awareness for local children’s hospitals across North America. We believe that by changing kids’ health we can change the future. To meet these ambitious goals, we develop international partnerships and fundraising programs to raise the critical funds hospitals need to provide state-of-the-art medical care for kids. As a member of our team, you’ll play a significant role in helping 10 million sick and injured kids every year.

The Cause Partnerships Manager is responsible for the implementation and growth of fundraising/awareness programs and initiatives designed for specific customer communities within a dedicated geographical area of our network (AL, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, SC, and TN). Individuals in this position are focused on building and maintaining relationships with individual community partners while managing the fundraising growth of their respective portfolio in collaboration with affiliated hospitals. The Cause Partnerships Manager will act as a subject matter expert in a particular customer community (or communities) as part of a broader hospital market team, this role provides proactive coaching on proven best practices and identifies areas of additional opportunity to achieve fundraising success.

This position will specifically work with the following audiences:

  • Miracle Network Dance Marathon programs including universities and other high school and collegiate organizations
  • Corporate partners – their retail locations, corporate offices and corporate social responsibility teams
  • Extra Life partners and other gaming companies, organizations and volunteers

 

The Essential Work You Will Do

  • Work closely with community partners and hospital affiliates to coach on foundational best practices in order to achieve targeted growth
  • Proactively identify new partnership opportunities following established metrics as defined for the organization
  • Help to implement new/existing fundraising partnerships and programs in collaboration with members of the Business Development, Strategic Partners and Product teams
  • Report, collect, and manage all applicable data and reporting in your respective portfolio— provide proactive analysis to customer groups where possible/appropriate

 

Other Work You May Do

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of underwriting partners, including CPG customers and other inbound customer campaigns
  • Implement and manage an inbound sales process, whereby each inbound request from a potential customer is evaluated and subsequently transferred to the appropriate party.
  • Participate in goal setting/annual planning sessions as part of a hospital market team
  • Facilitate community specific training opportunities (including webinars, conferences, etc.)

Experiences Requested: 

The following are work or volunteer experiences that are preferred for this position

  • Leadership experience on a Miracle Network Dance Marathon program
  • Hospital, university and/or national or regional partner experience
  • Corporate social responsibility or social impact experience

Work Environment/Travel

  • Candidate must have the ability to create a home office, and work well within a remote team spread across the U.S. 

  • Work hours will vary depending on partner schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the organization. Regular business hours will be required, as well as weekend travel.  
  • A willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time, depending on the region.

Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of general business and management principles. involved in planning, leadership, fundraising, customer service and coordination of people and resources to meet customer needs.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling the unique fundraising services of CMN Hospitals.
  • 5 + years of relevant experience and/or in combination with a bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Advanced degree such as MA, or MBA are preferred, but not required
